Early signs of Spring on the Brae!

Spring is in the air! As anticipation of warmer days grows the sheep are shedding, the bulbs are emerging and final seed orders are being sent. Even though we know we may still have some winter ahead of us we definitely have some added pep in our steps (walking on terra firma instead of ice helps with that too, of course).

Yesterday morning we welcomed 100 Imperial chicks to the barn after an early morning call from our favorite postal worker proclaiming "Get up Jensen's! Your chicks are here!". Who needs coffee when the car is full of hundred little beaks demanding to know "what the heck is going on?" all the way home? Not us!

We are thrilled to announce that we were able to secure USDA processing dates for lamb and will have cuts available for Easter! WOOT WOOT! Finally!

Please see attached price sheet details. As always, we are happy to deliver and equally as happy to have you come enjoy a restorative "farm fix" to shake off the winter blues.

If you prefer fresh cuts, please let me know as soon as possible, if not, everything will be frozen. If you don't see the cuts you want, feel free to tell us what you prefer and we'll see what can be arranged. We will get the lamb back from the processor on 3/25.

Our hens (and turkey) are laying profusely so if it's eggs you need, look no further. We are happy to put together a colorful dozen or two (or three or four).

We were also able to secure dates for our pure Berkshire pigs & we will have pork available for purchase by the cut in the beginning of June - about the same time as the chickens will be ready! Yum!

Stay tuned for the unveiling of our website with our logo fresh off the presses! We'd love to have your help spreading the word once we are up and running.
